JALEN ROSE PULLED OFF AIR BY ESPN
ESPN basketball analyst Jalen Rose has been yanked off the air by the network for failing to report to his employers about his recent DUI arrest in Michigan until three weeks after the incident.
News recently broke that the 38-year-old former NBA player was arrested for DUI after flipping his SUV. That incident actually happened on March 11, and Rose just recently informed his employers. As a result, ESPN is stripping Rose of his on-air duties until further notice.
"Jalen has accepted full responsibility for his actions. Both parties are taking this very seriously, and as a result, we've agreed that he will not be on our air while he addresses this situation," says ESPN spokesperson Josh KrulewitzRose, who recently jumped into the media spotlight after a fuss was made over comments he stated about Duke players on the recently premiered Fab Five documentary, issued a statement apologizing for his actions earlier this week:
Rose is scheduled to appear in court on April 20.
“On March 11th, I was driving to my home when I was involved in a single vehicle automobile accident. I voluntarily submitted to blood alcohol screening because I was confident it was safe for me to drive. Although I was not feeling impaired, the results of these tests indicate that my blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. I regret the decision to drive home that evening and am grateful that no one was hurt in the accident. I apologize to my family, my employer and each and every one of my supporters for my lapse in judgment. I am particularly sorry for disappointing those who trust me to serve as a role model for young people. I accept full responsibility for my actions and look forward to a resolution of the legal matter as soon as possible.”
XZIBIT LANDS NEW TV SHOW
The TV series will center on a psychiatrist -- played by actress Lauren Ambrose -- who oversees the weekend shift at a hospital's psychiatric unit. Xzibit has joined the cast as the character Chuck, but no further details have been revealed on what his role will actually entail. Other cast members will include Amber Stevens, Lloyd Braun, Gail Berman, Janet McTeer and Eric Winter. The show will be directed by Jack Bender, who brought 'Lost' and 'The Sopranos' into America's homes. Xzibit's previous TV appearances include stints on MTV's 'Pimp My Ride,' 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe,' 'CSI:Miami' and 'Gridiron Gang.' His most recent guest appearance was a spot on the ABC crime series 'Detroit 1-8-7,' which premiered in September. The rapper-turned-actor has had some financial troubles in recent years, which forced him to file for bankruptcy in 2009. He cited that as the reason for the cancellation of his MTV show. Xzibit released his sixth studio album, 'Full Circle,' in 2006, and since then he has been focused on his acting career. His upcoming LP, 'MMXI,' is tentatively slated for release later this year, and has confirmed features from 40 Glocc, Kurupt and production from Scoop DeVille.

Romeo Escapes Car Crash Without Injury
Rapper/actor Romeo, who is a contestant on the current season of "Dancing With The Stars", was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles on Thursday (March 31) and fortunately escaped without injury.
The 21-year-old son of former music mogul Master P was reportedly on his way to Los Angeles' Audubon Middle School to donate computers to inner-city youth.
However, there was a short delay.
It's unknown what happened or where exactly, but the Porsche he was driving was totaled.
"Got n my 1st wreck today. What a way to start the day off," Romeo tweeted (@RomeoMiller) shortly after the wreck. "The Porsche is done... I realized bad things only happen so that you'll realize how blessed you truly are. Things can always be worst."
Despite the accident, Romeo made his way to the school and rewarded the young students for their hard work.
"This made me smile today. Me and UrbanBorn.org gave away 10 laptops to 10 honor roll students," he tweeted.
Nets Begin Selling Premium Tickets For 2012 Season In Brooklyn

VANILLA ICE GETS MAJOR BIG SCREEN STARRING ROLE
Ice is back with a brand new… movie?! Yes it’s true. According to Variety, the one hit wonder Vanilla Ice (real name is Robert Van Winkle…lol) has been cast in the upcoming Adam Sandler film, “I Hate You Dad.”
Ice is set to play a longtime friend of Sandler, who, in turn, will play Andy Samberg’s (of Saturday Night Live) dad. In the film, Sandler moves in with Samberg and his new fiancee, whom Sandler immediately begins to feud with.
I love Adam Sandler movies, hopefully this one is a hit!!

MAKING THE BAND STAR SARA STOKES CHOKED AND BEATEN BY HER HUSBAND
Sara Stokes from "Making the Band 2" was allegedly choked and beaten by her husband Tony, who was thrown in jail after the dispute. Sources close to Sara tell us, it all went down last weekend at a friend's house in Georgia -- Tony Stokes accused Sara of being with another man ... and then allegedly choked and hit her.
According to law enforcement, Tony was arrested for simple battery -- and released the next day on $2,000 bail.
Tony's taking it all in stride ... telling us, "Everybody speculates and blows things out of proportion. It's a crazy kind of life. We're dysfunctional. We need our own TV show. I love my wife."
This isn't the couple's first alleged domestic incident -- back in 2009, Sara was accused of stabbing Tony after an argument went nuclear.
