Jay-Z & Kanye West Change Clothes & Hotels, "No Beyonce & No Booze"

Grammy-winning rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West are continuing to put in work for their forthcoming Watch the Throne collaboration album by switching to a new studio hotel location in New York City.

According to reports, Jay and Ye moved to another luxury Manhattan spot.

Kanye West and Jay-Z have moved on from their studio at the Mercer Hotel to the Tribeca Grand Hotel to record their upcoming album, "Watch the Throne." The duo was laying down tracks Wednesday night until 7 a.m. Thursday in a studio that had been specially set up in the hotel. The artists went downstairs for a short break with Universal honcho Barry Weiss, Kid Cudi and staff from the label. "They were laying down tons of tracks," a witness said. "It was intense -- no Beyoncé and no booze." (New York Post)

Jay recently revealed his intent to get West more focused on completing the long-awaited LP.

"Ye is just in an extraordinarily creative place--so much so I need to get him to focus so we can finish this," Jay says. "But music is his refugee right now." (Sky)

Earlier this week, producer Bangladesh revealed his involvement on their album.

"I was requested to come out there and just give a little insight on the album, give them a beat or two and add and create with 'Ye, which was a big honor," he said. "I been a fan of 'Ye since the first song he ever dropped...It's never a guarantee until that time comes, but the track I left [Kanye] with, he was very satisfied with...He really expressed that he loved the beat and he's ready to buy it. That's a good sign, but you never know at the end of the day. I don't really talk about stuff until it's signed, sealed and delivered." (MTV)

While details are still emerging, pop stars Beyonce and Bruno Mars will likely appear on the project.

Kanye West and Jay-Z are preparing for "Lift Off," the first single from their highly anticipated long-awaited collaborative album, and have snatched up Beyoncé and Bruno Mars for the Jeff Bhasker-produced number impacting radio and your iTunes music library sooner than you think. Yeah, that definitely explains the random trips to Paris. (Complex)

A confirmed release date for the LP has yet to be announced.

LAS VEGAS (Reuters) – Manny Pacquiao was involved in a minor vehicle accident on Saturday but his management team said he was not injured and set for his WBO welterweight title defense against Shane Mosley later in the day.
“Manny is ready to go,” the Filipino southpaw’s trainer Freddie Roach told reporters at the MGM Grand where the scheduled 12-round bout will held on Saturday evening.
According to his management team, Pacquiao was returning from church when the sport utility vehicle he was in was hit from behind at low speed by one of his security vehicles.
A Pacquiao team spokesman said the 10-times world champion was “a little shaken up” but not injured.

The 32-year-old Filipino, already acknowledged as one of the best offensive fighters of all time, is a 6-1 favorite to beat American Mosley at the MGM Garden Arena.
Although Mosley is a former three-division world champion, at the age of 39 he is in the twilight of his impressive career.
Mosley, 46-6-1 (39 knockouts), has not competed in the ring since his draw with Sergio Mora in September.
Pacquiao, 52-3-2 (38 KOs), is fighting for the first time since he recorded a ruthless points victory over Mexican Antonio Margarito in November for his eighth world title in an unprecedented eight weight class.

David Beckham was involved in a car accident on the Los Angeles Freeway yesterday morning. Read more details of the accident after the jump!!

According to TMZ, Beckham and son Brooklyn were not injured, however, the driver of the other car had to be taken to a local hospital.
Law enforcement sources say that Beckham was driving a black Cadillac on the 405 Freeway near Torrance, CA yesterday morning when he rear-ended a gold Mitsubishi that was broken down in the carpool lane.
The driver of the Mistubishi, who was inside the car and wearing his seatbelt at the time, had to be taken to the hospital — but Beckham did not require medical attention.
Law enforcement sources tell us Beckham was not arrested or cited on the scene.

San Diego Chargers’ Antwan Applewhite Arrested

San Diego Chargers’ Antwan Applewhite was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The 25-year-old linebacker was pulled over at 2:23 a.m. near Grand Avenue and Gresham Street in Pacific Beach and given a DUI evaluation. During the course of the evaluation Applewhite was placed under arrest.

A female in the silver Infiniti sedan was given a courtesy ride to another location by officials — likely her home — and not taken into custody during the incident.
Applewhite was booked at 4:09 a.m. He posted $2,500 bail later in the day and was released on his own recognizance, SDPD Lt. Andra Brown said.
His court date is scheduled for June 17.

Will Smith in Talks to Play a Slave in Quentin Tarantino Flim

Smith will be playing the lead in Django Unchained.

In a screenplay penned by Quentin Tarantino, Will Smith is in talks to play "Django" a slave in Django Unchained. The spaghetti Western film will follow Smith's character "in the Old South who teams up with a German bounty hunter to find his wife." Others set to star in the film are Samuel L. Jackson, who will play an evil slave who clashes with Django. The film is rumored to be shot in Louisiana, which will be a perfect backdrop for Smith's character to roam the territory to save his wife from an evil plantation owner.

Brooklyn-born rapper Nas has never won a Grammy for his albums, but he just snagged a National Sports Emmy for his ESPN documentary "Survival 1." The film follows two amputee victims of the Liberian civil war who form a soccer team and eventually be came champions. Nas produced, directed and scored the music for the film. "After all these years of making music, I am honored to have this be the first award I ever won of this magnitude," he said of the win. "An Emmy before a Grammy. Crazy [bleep]!"

Jermaine Dupri’s Mansion In Foreclosure

It looks like “Money Ain’t A Thing” rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri is facing some financial difficulties! Dupri’s mega mansion is facing foreclosure! Reports state:
“Channel 2 Action News has learned that Jermaine Dupri’s mansion on Mount Paran Road in northwest Atlanta was in foreclosure and set to be auctioned on the courthouse steps last week, but the sale was canceled at the last minute.
The law firm handling the foreclosure would not say why the sale was stopped.
Suntrust Bank had started foreclosure on an original loan amount of more than $2.5 million.
According to records Channel 2 obtained from the Georgia Department of Revenue, Jermaine Dupri Mauldin owes the state $493,768.75 in back taxes for 2007.
Channel 2′s Tom Regan spoke with Fayette County Tax Commissioner George Wingo. Wingo sent Regan documents showing Dupri owes $14,024.67 in unpaid property taxes, fees and penalties in connection with another home Dupri owns.”
