Bo Bikes Bama – Emergency Relief Fund
Sports legend Bo Jackson will bike 300 miles through the tornado ravaged communities of Alabama. Bo is riding his bike to raise $1 million for the Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund, which was established to help Alabamians with unmet recovery needs that unfolded in the wake of the deadly tornado outbreak across the state in April 2011.

Dr. Dre To Produce Horror Movie "Thaw"
Dr. Dre is keeping busy these days working with Kendrick Lamar and on his own Detox album. He is also hopping into the movie world by co-producing the horror flick Thaw.
According to Variety, the film is being released through Dre's Crucial Films.
Dre and partner Daniel Schnider have tapped Vic Weet to write the script to the film which will "center on an ancient evil that emerges from the rapidly melting ice in the Yukon."
No release date information is available at this time.

Whitney Houston's Cause Of Death: Accidental Drowning, Chronic Cocaine Use & Heart Disease
Whitney Houston had cocaine in her system when she died -- this according to the L.A. County Coroner.
The L.A. County Coroner has just released the singer's official cause of death -- accidental drowning ... but the report also notes heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors to Whitney's demise.
Officials say Houston also had traces of marijuana in her system ... as well as Xanax (anxiety medication), Flexeril (muscle relaxer) and Benadryl (allergy medication).
A source connected to the investigation tells us it is "very possible" Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.
As we previously reported, Whitney was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel last month and several pills were found on the scene -- including Xanax, Ibuprofen, and Midol.
Investigators found NO EVIDENCE of cocaine in the hotel room.
Law enforcement sources have told us from the beginning they did not suspect foul play -- and believe her death was not a homicide.
Her family however had doubts about Whitney's demise -- suggesting there may have been foul play.

Facebook Fail! Woman Jailed 18 Months After Impersonating Ex-Boyfriend Online…
While a lot of you may be prone to taking revenge on an ex in various ways, Thornton’s choice to utilize facebook cost her 18 months in jail and attorney’s fees to fight a long court battle after her ex, a police detective, decided to pursue criminal charges for identity theft!
Yes…. facebook is apparently THAT dayum serious!
What started as a prank to get back at her ex-boyfriend, led to various court dates for Thornton, a New Jersey resident.
Thornton had been dating Michael Lasalandra, a Parsippany police detective, and when the two broke up, she took to Facebook to inflict her revenge.
The heartbroken woman used photos of Lasalandra to create a fake profile, then used it to say awful things about “his lifestyle and career.” The profile included Mr Lasalandra’s name, birth date and posted photographs of him and “status updates” stating that he had herpes, used drugs and slept with prostitutes regularly.
One update allegedly posted by Thornton pretending to be Lasalandra, stated, ”I’m a sick piece of scum with a gun.”
You may be thinking… ‘what’s the big deal? People do that mess all the time and don’t end up in jail.” Well unfortunately for Thornton, Lasalandra’s career in law enforcement granted him familiarity with criminal law, and he recognized her actions as a case of possible identity theft.
Lasalandra complained to officers that he was being impersonated online and a grand jury subpoena was issued to obtain the IP address from which the profile was made. All signs pointed to Thornton’s home computer, and she was subsequently charged with the crime of “identity theft” for creating the fake facebook profile.
[Sidebar: I woulda totally said "yeah it's my ip.... but my dog did it!' *cough* but that's just me... ]
Court documents claimed that New Jersey law generally states that impersonating another or assuming a false identity and acting in such an assumed character to obtain a benefit or to injure or defraud another is a crime.
Thornton’s attorneys argued that the state’s identity theft law doesn’t apply to the allegations, filing a defense motion on her behalf which stated:
Under the New Jersey statute, there is no plain wording, commentary, memorandum or any evidence of legislative intent to show that impersonating someone online or by electronic means is a crime.
Prosecutors claimed Thornton’s actions harmed her ex-boyfriend’s reputation and sought to prove
‘Certainly it would damage his good name, standing or reputation if false comments and assertions [were made],’ the court papers said.
The case, which has been going on since October 2011, drew to a close Monday (March 19, 2012) when Thornton accepted a pre-trial intervention program.
Thornton has since been released from jail, where she spent 18 months, and will now have to perform 50 hours of community service and complete a psychological evaluation.
If her community service is not completed, Thornton’s charges will be reinstated.

El DeBarge Arrested For Drug Possession
Eldra DeBarge was arrested in a Los Angeles suburb on Monday for possession for sale of narcotics, adding yet another notch to his long history of run-ins with the law.
El was arrest around 2 PM in Encino, CA last night after LAPD officers observed him participating in what appeared to be a drug deal with another man near the 101 Freeway TMZ reports…
DeBarge was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell. It’s the 3rd time El has been arrested for drug possession since 2001.
He was hauled to a nearby jail where he was booked and released on $30k bail. El is due back in court next month.
