Christian Louboutin Sues Yves Saint Laurent Over Red Soles

Christian Louboutin recently filed suit against Yves Saint Laurent over their use of red soled heels.

Apparently YSL has lacquered a few of their Spring 2011 designs with ‘red bottoms,’ a look that is universally known as Louboutin’s signature.

According to Reuters the lawsuit states, “Mr. Louboutin is the first designer to develop the idea of having red soles on women’s shoes.” Louboutin is seeking $1 million in damages.

The bottle, which is referred to as a “Nebuchadnezzer,” sold for £80,000 at a new members’ club in London last Thursday. Apparently only two such bottles exist in the world, and each one takes six months to make. I wonder how it tastes?!

We always imagined it would take a house fire to make even-keeled musician John Legend do so much as coolly saunter to the door, but it looks like questions about Barack Obama‘s nation of origin have him in a rage. In fact, John Legend called Donald Trump racist at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Annual Gala Thursday night. “He needs to stop saying that racist bulls–t birther s–t,” Legend said to New York Mag, putting the reality-show host on blast. “Quote me please. He should be ashamed of himself. It’s awful, really.” Considering you could usually run over his foot with a steamroller and he’d just raise one eyebrow really slowly, Legend must be truly livid. The musician is of course talking about Donald Trump’s birther argument; the entrepreneur has publicly cast doubt on the fact that President Obama is a native U.S. citizen, as part of his reported bid for the Republican presidential nomination. “Everybody that even gives a hint of being a birther … even a little bit of a hint, like, gee, you know, maybe, just maybe this much of a chance, they label them as an idiot. Let me tell you, I’m a really smart guy,” Trump said in an interview with ABC News. Bill Cosby slammed Trump as well on yesterday’s Today Show. “Oh please with Donald Trump,” Cosby admonished. “The only thing he’s running is his mouth.” When even Dr. Huxtable has turned against you, you know you need to check yourself before wreck your entire presidential campaign.

Ice Cube To Direct And Produce ‘Chrome And Paint’

Continuing to rethink what the definition of a Disney movie, the studio is picking up Chrome and Paint, a gritty car culture project from Ice Cube.
Cube will direct and produce with his CubeVision partner Matt Alvarez and is also co-writing the script with Eva Vives, who co-wrote the 2002 Latino drama Raising Victor Vargas. Chrome and Paint is actually the name of a song from Cube’s 2006 album Laugh Now, Cry Later and contains lyrics that wouldn’t get through the front gate of the Burban-based studio.
Cube envisioned the film project, set in South Central LA, as a hardcore R-rated movie where young people die in drive-bys, but now that Disney will be its home, the grit factor will be toned down.
Since taking the reins of the studio, Rich Ross and Sean Bailey have tried to broaden the scope of the traditional Disney movie even as they cut down the number of movies the studio makes.
One move has been bringing in filmmakers that normally wouldn’t have set up projects at the studio, such as David Fincher. Add Cube to the list.

Idris Elba Set To Open Health Clinic

It’s been reported that Idris Elba, along with his cousin, who’s a nurse, are planning to fund and open a heath care facility in Sierra Leone, to provide support for sick families in the country.
Elba, who was born in the U.K. to African immigrant parents – his father from Sierra Leone and his mother from Ghana – has never visited his father’s homeland, though that’s something he plans to to address very soon.
As he was recently quoted in the Observer magazine: “It’s embarrassing. I have to go. There are plans, serious plans! I can’t wait. I want to go to Sierra Leone with something — whether it’s some sort of contribution to health care, or to the entertainment industry. My cousin is a nurse; we are talking about opening a clinic.”

Mel Gibson Vindicated by "Hangover 2" Switcheroo

The director who wanted Mel Gibson for the sequel to "The Hangover" -- and then changed his mind and humiliated him by dropping him from the project -- has changed his mind yet again ... and now Liam Neeson is out of the role originally slated for Mel in the first place.


You'll remember ... director Todd Phillips wussed out and dropped Mel after the cast objected to him for personal reasons. So Phillips brought Neeson on board and shot Mel's scenes with Neeson. But Phillips's fickle finger struck again and the director decided he wanted Neeson to re-shoot his role.

Sadly, planning wasn't Todd's strong suit and Liam couldn't re-shoot his role because he was already filming "Clash of the TItans 2."

The cursed role has been given to actor Nick Cassavetes ... for now. But if you're a male actor in your 50s, keep your headshot handy, just in case.

Law enforcement officers in Atlanta state that Gucci was making a routine visit to his probation officer when he noticed there was an active warrant out for the rapper's arrest. Gucci had allegedly pushed a woman out of a moving car back in January and had failed to mention the incident to his probation officer. He was currently on probation from an incident stemming from an aggravated assault charge, which unfortunately does not make his current case look so great. He was subsequently arrested and is being held on a $5,000 bond until he faces a judge tomorrow.

Paris Hilton’s mum apparently does not think much of the reality TV star’s former friend Kim Kardashian.
Kathy Hilton took a series of alleged swipes at Kardashian during a night out in New York City, telling friends that Kim ‘used to work for Paris’, according to the New York Post.
‘Kathy was going on about how Paris is the original reality TV star and how all of the others had her to thank for their success,’ an insider told the Post.
‘Kathy said Kim copied everything Paris has done.’
Hilton later told the Post that she had talked about Kim, saying: ‘I love her by the way. Someone said, ‘Didn’t she work for Paris?’ I said ‘Yes, she did before she was on her TV show.’
‘Another person said ‘Paris made a lot happen for us in the reality business.’ I said, ‘It’s true, she was one of the pioneers.”
Representatives for Kardashian had no comment.

A new album from pop megastar Beyonce is apparently not far off. Australia’s “Daily Telegraph” says the singer will be dropping her next record sometime in late June. Details are sparse, but one Sony Music executive expects another big hit. Beyonce played six new tracks for label bosses at a New York meeting and one — Australian head Denis Handlin — called the music “just amazing” and “groundbreaking.” He also says Beyonce wants to follow the release with a big tour.

A couple of months ago we revealed that Beyonce is releasing a bedding line. We gave you a preview of the sheets and pillow covers, and now they just released new images of the bedding line and video.

My heart is hurting after finding out that one of my favorite TV show host got the boot last night onTV biggest dance show. Wendy Williams and her partner, Tony Dovolani, were voted off “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night, April 5, 2011. The talk show host and author consistently scored poorly during her three weeks on the show.

“This has been a wonderful opportunity for me,” the talk-show host said upon learning her fate.

“I want to thank the judges and I want to thank you, also, Tony, for teaching me how to dance because, you know, I still can’t … because despite stereotypes, this is one black girl who can’t even do ‘the running man,’” she said. “With that said, I will do the rest of the talking tomorrow on ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’”

NBA Star in DOG FIGHT Over Urine Stains

Atlanta Hawks star Jamal Crawford is pissed at his former landlord -- which is ironic, because the landlord claims Crawford's dogs pissed all over his home -- and now the two are headed for court.

Crawford has filed a lawsuit against the landlord -- claiming she won't return his $20,000 deposit on an Atlanta mansion he rented ... insisting he only caused $1,700 in damage during his stay.

But according to MyFoxAtlanta.com -- the landlord says she's going EASY on the guy -- because his massive doggies -- 2 bull mastiffs and a rottweiler -- relieved themselves all over the home ... we're talking #1s AND #2s.

In fact, the landlord claims the designer blinds are stained with dog pee ... and she has to replace the carpets because the smell is unbearable. She claims the dogs also chewed up several banisters and doors ... and the plumbing needs to be replaced because the sinks were clogged up with dog food.

In total, the landlord claims Crawford caused more than $28k in damages.

FYI -- Crawford pulled in $10.1 million with the Hawks this year ... but he's suing for $60k plus attorney fees.

So far, no court date has been set.

Golf Fans DEVOUR 'Tiger' Wieners at The Masters

"Somewhere in Augusta" -- a sports bar in Georgia right next to The Masters golf tournament -- which is featuring a monster hot dog called the "Tiger Homewrecker" ... a name we're guessing he didn't approve.

The Tiger dog features a 12" all beef Nathan's hot dog stuffed with cheese, wrapped with bacon, and deep fried. And if your heart hasn't stopped yet ... it's also topped off with a generous helping of chili, onions, and more cheese.

We're told the $14.99 artery clogger recently debuted, and this week -- leading up to The Masters -- sales are up almost 30 dogs per day.

So far -- Tiger has not stopped by to give it a whirl -- but don't be surprised if Joslyn James does.

If you were going to see Drake, just be careful that it’s a REAL performance that he will be appearing!!! Two upcoming Drake shows in Pennsylvania just got SHUT DOWN!! It was discovered that a con artist booked the rapper without permission

Drake’s rep say, the rapper was shocked to find out he was slated to appear twice in May at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA … because he never agreed … or even heard about the show.

According to the rep, the booking was fraudulently made by a con artist claiming to be Drake’s manager — and as soon as the theater picked up on the scam … they canceled both shows.

Drake’s rep tells us, “Drake is currently working on his second album and not touring at this time.”

Tickets for the bogus shows have been refunded — and the matter has been handed over to authorities for investigation.

RAPPER LIL WEBBIE ARRESTED

Lil Webbie was arrested this past Monday but fortunately he won’t be facing the same fate as his frequent collaborator Lil Boosie (who’s currently incarcerated for a life sentence). Webbie was found with 2 ounces of marijuana when he was pulled over for speeding. They also reportedly found over $13,000 in cash on him and a loaded gun belonging to someone riding with him. All 4 passengers were arrested and Web was held on a $21,ooo bond. The driver was also charged with driving with a suspended license. Yikes!! Get it together guys!!
