NIKEiD Air 180 – Fall 2011 Options

Though not as popular as its cousins, the Air Maxes 87 and 90, the Nike Air 180 still has its share of fans, and they’ll likely be thrilled to see that it’s returned to NIKEiD. There are a good number of options, starting with the base materials: original mesh (which looks to be the shiny textile found on the Ultramarines), ripstop, smooth synthetic and perforated synthetic. The same options, with the exception of perforated synthetic, are available for the overlay, and the inclusion of a speckled midsole feature should prove to be a big hit. The color palette is decent, but don’t expect to recreate the Opiums, Nom de Guerres or Dizzee Rascals. So what are you waiting for, Air 180 fans? Head over to NIKEiD now and start designing.

Air Jordan IV Doernbecher

Each year since 2004, Nike has partnered with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon to create limited edition shoes designed by select hospital patients, with proceeds from shoe sales benefiting the hospital. The rumor mill had this year’s Air Jordan edition of the Doernbecher Freestyle program pegged as an Air Jordan IV, and recently surfaced images have confirmed the Internet chatter. Built with a black nubuck base and neon green accents, the shoe features a Superman logo on the tongue as well as a number of stylistic flourishes, including an arrow-print design appearing throughout the upper, a Mars-influenced graphic near the heel and comic book typography underneath the clear sole. Nike Sportswear: Vac Tech Pack – Holiday 2011

What was old, is now new again. Retro has been a trending concept for years now. You can see these types of design and style concepts applied to everything from automobiles to clothing. Nike has once again applied its custom Vac Tech construction to classic silhouettes.

In an upcoming pack slated for release during the upcoming holiday 2011 season, the pack includes iconic sneaker models. The Dunk High and Air Force 1 are available in both High and Low variations, as well as an Air Max 90. All feature seamless Vac Tech uppers in mostly tonal colorways made up of subdued, neutral hues, with the material build limited to leather, suede and wool. Especially true in terms of the Air Force 1, Nike has the ability to reinvent the classics over and over and over. More images of this pack below.

Louis Vuitton City Guide 2012 - Paris & Perfumes

The Louis Vuitton City Guide video series has introduced its latest installment; a 2012 guide to Paris called “Paris & Perfumes.” The video takes us first through the storied history of couture fashion house perfumes, including some of the most well-known perfumes in the world, like Gabrielle Chanel’s “Chanel No. 5″ and Yves Saint Laurent’s ”Parisienne.” It transitions quickly to the Paris of today, introducing the exclusive perfume boutiques on Avenue Montagne. The video was produced by Mathias Vayer and directed by Romain Chassaing. You can watch it below.
