Beyonce is facing a law suit, served up by a video company called Game Five. Know why? Because after they agreed on merging to create the video game ‘Starpower,’ Beyonce demanded more money after the deal was already done. WTF?!?!?
Here’s what the NY Daily News reported on the incident:
“In a suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Gate Five LLC says Beyonce abruptly bailed out on a join venture to commercialize the video game Starpower. Gate Five lost it’s $6.7 million investment, but the suit says, as well as more than $100 million in profits the company would have earned if the deal survived.”
Here’s what the video company Game Five said in the lawsuit about Mathew Knowles:
“Her actions were so unscrupulous that her then-manager [who is also her dad] renounced them, while a senior executive of the company…condemned her conduct as ‘morally reprehensible’ in an email he sent to one of her talent agents.”Would Mathew Knowles’ email denouncing his daughter’s shroud business practices come to light in court? I don’t know, but I do know Game Five claims over 70-people went into unemployment a week before Christmas — all because Beyonce backed out of the deal.
Did Beyonce dismiss her father as her manager because of this email? Some may think so, but I think Beyonce is so narcissistic that she believed this video game ‘Starpower’ was going to be extremely profitable – which is why she wanted more money. But what Beyonce fails to realize is if she’s losing her fan base to Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj — my reasoning why her latest single “Run The World Girls” landed number 33 on Billboard Hot 100.
