Jersey Shore’ Cast Banned From Filming At Tourist Attractions!
Italians continue to stand firm in their “anti-Jersey Shore” ways as the mayor of Florence has forbidden cast of the Jersey Shore from filming at the city’s popular tourist attractions. In a way, I kind of feel bad for them because if they really are Italian like they claim, visiting Italy is such an important trip & unfortunately, it won’t be as enjoyable for them as it would be for a normal person. Anyways, read more details after the jump!!
–The “Jersey Shore” cast will be seeing a lot of less Florence than expected as the gang have been banned by Florentine authorities from filming at many of the city’s most popular and recognizable tourist spots, NBC Philadelphia reports. The mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi, has forbidden the cast from filming inside some of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, including the Uffizi and Boboli Gardens, a website affiliated with Italian newspaper La Repubblica reports.
He has, however, granted them access to film in public areas, including the Palazzo Vecchio.
Now Mussolini’s granddaughter (yes, that Mussolini) is getting in on the anti-”Jersey Shore” action, calling the mayor’s permission to allow filming in the city of Botticelli and Michaelangelo “pure madness” and “shameful”, La Nazione reports.
The superintendent of state museums has banned the cast from filming inside any state-run properties.
The “Jersey Shore” gang descend on the famous Italian city on May 8th to film season 4 of their hit MTV reality show.
Never fear, GTL-ers! AOL Travel put together a list of “Jersey Shore”-like beaches around Europe that the group can head to when they’re not feeling the love in Florence.
