There’s a newly released book which is causing a ruckus in the hip hop industry. It’s called “My Infamous Life” — the autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy. The rapper wrote the book, in which he calls out names, while he was serving his three-year jail sentence for gun possession.
Here’s what Prodigy had to say about Keyshia Cole:
“Damn, did I bag her back in the day? Then it hit me. Keyshia! From the Beverly Center mall! Oh shit. I bagged Keyshia Cole before she became famous. [Mobb Deep's] Havoc immediately ruined his opportunity to produce for her. Keyshia hung up on him. ‘You know her, son? She said she knows you, ‘he said. ‘Yeah, I bagged her a couple of years ago in the Beverly Center. I didn’t realize it was Keyshia, it was before she blew up,’ I said. ‘Damn son, you just fucked the relationship up. You could’ve sold her beats.”Prodigy isn’t alone because many producers smashed Keyshia Cole. Know why? Because she was fucking for beats mane. Don’t believe me? Ask Kanye West or Dallas Austin.
So, I’m not surprised, but I am shocked after learning Prodigy called out Capone (from the rap group “Capone-N-Noreaga) as a snitch who took the stand and identified Havoc’s brother at a crime scene.
Apparently Lindsay Lohan also fell victims to Prodigy’s charms, although he doesn’t exactly say whether or not he “bagged” her.
“At the after-party, DJ Whoo Kid was talking to this good-looking white girl who kept checking me out. When she sat back down with her girlfriends, I walked over, we kicked it for about twenty minutes, and I got her phone number. She told me she was from Long Island but lived in Los Angeles. Whoo Kid walked over after she left. ‘Yo, you know who that was?’ he said. ‘No, why? Who is she?’ ‘Lindsay Lohan,’ he said. ‘Lindsay who?’ I asked. ‘She’s an actress, ni**a,’ he said, laughing. ‘Did you get her number?’ ‘Yeah, I didn’t know who she was.’ I may have heard her name once or twice, but I really didn’t know who she was.”
WTF?!?!? Expect to see more tell-all-books from recording artists? Know why? Because the music industry ain’t making them money mane.
Because Brooklyn’s 36-year-old Prodigy suffers from sickle cell anemia, I hope he donates part of the proceeds from his book to the Sickle Cell Foundation.
