A 7 year old student from Linwood Elementary school in Wichita Kansas, was attacked by a Leopard on May 6th at the Sedgewick County zoo, after he climbed a 4 foot guard rail separating the animals from the public. The Leopard was able to reach through the fencing and grabbed the boy with both paws trying to pull him into the den. Zoo visitors who were riding a tram nearby saw the attack and immediately ran to help the boy scaring away the 4 year old Leopard.
The boy sustained injuries to his face and neck, none of them life threatening.
