With summer just around the corner, DJ Khaled is getting a head start on  his fitness by demonstrating his workout skills, proving his hustle stretches into the gym.
In addition to exercising, Khaled also revealed plans to drop an upcoming music video with help from Young Money's Drake.
"Aight check this out, it's We The Best Forever, it's DJ Khaled, it's going to be a hot summer," Khaled said in a video. "I'm in the gym, gotta stay healthy even though we busy 24 hours getting this money hustling hard. But right now, I'm warning you now, I'm about to drop the biggest record in the country. My second single is going to be a problem. Stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, I gotta get in this gym because we're gonna shoot the biggest video ever. Let's go swimming...Aight, check this out. After a hard workout, and some laps in the pool -- order yourself a Pina Colada, get in the jacuzzi, We The Best Forever is coming soon. Last year, Fat Joe shared his thoughts on 50 Cent shededing over 50 pounds for a movie role and his desire to shed some weight.
"Yeah, that's his thing. I'm not mad; he's trying to get money. I could never do that, though, I wish I could. Fat Joe loves food too much. I'm scheming on some Pinkberry right now. [laughs]" (VIBE)
Personal celebrity trainer Mark Jenkins previously talked with SOHH about how 50 could pack on the 54 pounds he lost.
"The best way to regain weight is to do it slowly because you don't want to put that weight on as fat, you want to put it on as muscle and you just put your body through a starvation mode so any food you eat, your body is gonna wanna convert it into fat because you've been starving it. You want to give yourself a good amount of time and eat healthy, you don't want to get a lot of fat so stack up your calories on your healthy food, because when you go from nothing to a lot of food it could complicate your intestinal tract." Last year, Dr. Dre detailed his quest to maintain a healthy body by working out.
In our in-depth cover story with Dre, from the forthcoming Dec/Jan 2011 issue of XXL, the 45-year-old West Coast legend told our EIC, Vanessa Satten, that he might have to change his birth certificate due to his work in the gym. "I make sure that I take care of myself," he said. "I feel like, now I feel much better--and actually look better, to me--than I did when I was in my early 20s or 30s. I'm definitely healthier now. That has a big part to do with it, just staying healthy. It definitely keeps your confidence up. I've actually had tests on my body, and the doctor said I'm 31. [Laughs] So I'm riding with that sh*t. [Laughs]" (XXL Mag)
