Producer Hit-Boy Joins Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music

Kanye West has added some fresh talent to his G.O.O.D. Music squad. Yeezy has recruited producer Hit-Boy as an in-house producer for his Grammy Family. On May 2, Hit-Boy expressed his gratitude to Yeezy for the look via Twitter. "Once again shoutout to Kanye West for allowing me this opp. Surf Club x G.O.O.D," the 23-year-old tweeted.

Hit-Boy, born Chauncey Hollis, is part of Surf Club, a production team started with fellow accomplished beatmaker Chase N. Cashe. The pair got their start in the industry after linking with Polow Da Don's Zone 4 Inc. imprint, and since, the Surf Club has grown to include a number of artists, songwriters and producers.

Although he's been laying down tracks for A-list clientele for a relatively short period, Hit-Boy has already made his mark as a highly sought after beatsmith. The California native has production placements with Lil Wayne ('Drop the World'), Chris Brown ('Froze') and Mary J. Blige ('Stronger') on his ever-growing discography.

Hit-Boy is no stranger to working with West. He produced his holiday G.O.O.D. Friday track 'Christmas in Harlem,' which featured Teyana Taylor, Cam'ron, Vado, Jim Jones, Big Sean, Pusha T, Musiq Soulchild and CyHi Da Prynce. Fellow G.O.O.D. Music representative Pusha T was blessed with a Hit-Boy instrumental for 'My God,' the lead single from the Clipse member's acclaimed solo mixtape, 'Fear of God.'

Hit-Boy is also credited, along with Drake producer Boi-1da, with producing Nicki Minaj's recently leaked track called 'Tragedy,' which seems squarely aimed at Lil' Kim. Also, rumor is Hit-Boy will be contributing to Jay-Z and Kanye West's highly anticipated 'Watch the Throne' collaborative album.
