Hall Of Fame – “FAME Block” Holiday 2011 hoodies.

Excuse me while I nerd out over a seemingly simple hoodie. But as someone that enjoys the intersection of streetwear and traditional sports iconography, these hoodies by California retailer Hall of Fame appeal to me something serious. The stylized block FAME logo is patterned after the New York football Giants’ 1976-99 logo (one I wouldn’t mind seeing them bring back actually) and are done in some pretty interesting colorways–olive, black, burgundy, grey, khaki, and navy. These hoodies will be exclusively available through the Hall of Fame retail store and online store this Saturday, December 17th.

Bluu Dreams – “Bluu Dreams Logo” beanie.

OH TARTER SAUCE!

Had I been privy to these fly beanies from Long Island, NY based brand Bluu Dreams just a couple of days earlier, I would have totally put them on my list of 15 BEST BEANIES for the WINTER. Be that as it may these beanies with wide wale knit flaps and Northwestern striped crowns, will be available this coming Monday. Limited to 60 colors per style each beanie comes with Bluu Dreams stickers and can be pre-ordered for only $18 (which includes free domestic shipping) via their website.

BOOMTHO! Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook.

A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon the BOOMTHO! brand and after careful examination and some short correspondence with their press contact, I’m happy to show y’all some selected images from their most recent collection.

BOOMTHO! is a company started in 2006 by professional basketball player and published writer Rod Benson. The concept of the company is to not take yourself to seriously and enjoy what life has to offer. With that being said, you can see why the majority of their products carry bright colors, alerting you of this company’s philosophy from the outset. Shoot, they even have their own mascot! If that doesn’t say “We’re just trying to have a good time,” than I don’t know what to tell ya! Take a look at some selected photos from their most recent lookbook from this year and if you’re interested in seeing more, visit the BOOMTHO! website.

UNDRCRWN for Upper Playground artist collection.

The founder of one of my favorite streetwear brands, Dustin Canalin, apparently has been doing work with California art collective Upper Playground. I don’t know how long this working relationship between Dustin’s UNDRCRWN and the San Francisco based UP has been in existence but I can tell you this much: I’m picking up what they’re putting down.

A quick search on the respective sites for both UNDRCRWN and Upper Playground showed me that not only have they been working together for a while but Dustin has been creating some monsters on the low. I’ve only selected a couple pictures for you to look at but if you’re interesting in seeing the rest, head to UNDRCRWN’s site and–if you’re a sports fan–prepare to be amazed.

G.I. Joe – Retaliation

Check out the trailer for ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’. This film has taken a different approach from the original re-boot and stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis. The trailer shows off some very nice action sequences, which is to be expected. While this is certainly not a movie for all, we think fans of the popular 80s cartoon series will not be disappointed. The movie comes to theaters on 29th of June, 2012. Watch the trailer below.

Primitive x Rook: The Jaro Sisters [NSFW]

Purveyors of beautiful women rejoice as Primitive and Rook have gotten the Jaro sisters, Justene and Dawn respectively, together for the first time professionally on video. The model-driven series of T-shirts are sure to fly off the shelves much in the same way the clothes flew off the Jaro sisters’ bodies during the photoshoot with Rook’s Joseph King. This collaborative effort is available in limited quantities at Primitiveshoes.com.

Pharrell Introduces the Billionaire Girls Club

There will be plenty to celebrate next year when Billionaire Boys Club launches a full-fledged line for women, aptly named Billionaire Girls Club. When first conceived by Pharrell Williams and A Bathing Ape founder NIGO back in 2005, the goal was to offer Billionaire Boys Club-related merchandises to female fans of the brand. But demands have become such that it was only natural to create a complete collection with the ladies in mind.

As a prelude to the collection’s official launch, limited supplies of BGC t-shirts, vests, and tank tops are now available, exclusively through BBC’s online store and selected retailers worldwide. Each item is to branded with the new BGC “Space Girl” logo, a design by iconic Japanese artist SK8THING and a twist on BBC’s astronaut emblem. More info is to come as the BGC collection launch nears.
