Matters of the Heart: Nelly Explains Coming Clean About Cheating

Image43 Matters of the Heart: Nelly Explains Coming Clean About Cheating
Juicy magazine asks: If you cheated on your significant other — or had a lil’ something, something with one of his or her friends — should you come clean? Or is it better to tuck that secret far away?
I don’t think there’s a right or a wrong answer for any of that. Hopefully, no one cheats. If you’re involved with someone in your man’s inner circle, he should be aware of that. And if he chooses to get past that, then so be it. If you do cheat on him, I think you should say something.
I mean, if you’re with somebody and ya’ll in a relationship like that, then obviously honesty is the only thing that you two can say should be 100 percent. If it’s a passing fling, then that’s not a real relationship. That’s just a fling, so I guess it all depends on the level of what you’re saying the relationship is.
Obviously, society would recommend that, of course, honesty is the best policy. But in reality, I think flirting is cheating, because if you’re with somebody you’re supposed to be with them mind, body and soul. If you’re flirting with somebody, for that second they have your mind. You know what I’m saying? And that’s not mind, body and soul. There are so many different [types of] relationships. It’s hard to say . . . which rules they should [follow] because it’s just being happy.
